At the PRINTING United Leadership Summit in San Diego, our President, John Sommers, sat down with Ashely Roberts of Printing Impressions, to discuss one of our recent client success stories regarding Land Rover.
This project pushed the limits of typical direct mail campaigns. From a skillfully constructed outer envelope to a fully embellished booklet, every detail required expert collaboration.
What made it especially complex was not just the design, but how it all came together through production. By converting and inserting a heavier, uniquely constructed mailer to running inline imaging and ink jetting, this piece required both creativity and precision to execute successfully.
Watch the full video below as John breaks down how the piece came together and what it took to bring it to market.
Project highlights include:
- Spot gloss UV to highlight tire tread details
- Embossing on Defender branding
- Foil stamping and soft touch coating on the booklet cover
- Inline imaging and ink jetting during production
- Innovative envelope construction with zip strip tabs
- Produced at scale (100,000+ pieces) with ongoing quarterly runs
